Adelphine Bonneau

Adelphine Bonneau is an archaeologist, geochemist and archaeometer, i.e. a scientist of archaeological materials.

After a postdoctoral fellowship at Université Laval, she was a visiting professor at UQAC while pursuing a 2nd postdoctoral fellowship at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, funded by the Canadian Banting program. In September 2021, she joined the University of Sherbrooke as an assistant professor with a bi-faculty affiliation in chemistry and history, highlighting her multidisciplinary profile.

She specializes in the study of dyes, rock art in southern Africa and the Canadian Shield, modern European glass, especially glass beads, and radiocarbon dating of archaeological materials. Her research focuses on two areas: 1) the development of non-invasive and micro-invasive analytical methods for understanding the techniques of object manufacture, for the provenance of raw materials, and for the dating of objects; 2) the study of relationships and exchanges between populations through material culture.

Since July 2022, she is responsible for Axis 1 - Archaeological Heritage: Analysis, Conservation and Restoration of the Scientific Program of the UMR-Capitales et Patrimoines, working on the first attempt of European colonization in Canada, Fort Cartier-Roberval.

Bahare Samadi

Bahare Samadi, R&D researcher and training consultant at Adoc Talent Management.

Bahare holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a master's, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on human gait biomechanics, pediatric rehabilitation, and artificial intelligence (AI) from the Polytechnic Montreal. After her bachelor's degree, she worked as a civil engineer and project manager for about 10 years, then decided to move into biomedical research to bridge healthcare and technology.

She graduated in December 2020 and joined Shriner's Hospitals for children motion lab as a biomedical scientist. Recognizing the challenges Ph.Ds. face in transitioning from academia to other sectors, she joined Adoc Talent Management in January 2022 to make this journey more efficient for the Ph.D. holders.

Now she is an R&D researcher and training consultant at Adoc Talent Management.

Benoit Laurent

Benoit Laurent is an assistant professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Functional Genomics, Université de Sherbrooke. After a PhD in France and a post-doctoral fellowship in the United States, he joined the Sherbrooke Research Center on Aging at the end of 2018 to work on the molecular mechanisms of brain aging using animal models and 2D/3D cell cultures.

His research aims to develop new diagnostic and treatment strategies to reduce the incidence of neurodegenerative diseases.

Caroline Morin

Caroline Morin is an immigration and international student advisor at the Université de Sherbrooke and a regulated immigration consultant for Canada and Quebec.

She has professional experience in multicultural work environments, international recruitment and intervention with migrants, asylum seekers and refugees.

She holds a Master's degree from the University of Sherbrooke in intercultural mediation, speaks 5 languages and has studied, traveled and lived in various countries.
