Project Description

The candidate’s mandate is part of a research project aimed at evaluating the short- and long-term effects of a personalized citizen assistance for social participation (APIC) intervention program on the health, social participation, life satisfaction and utilization of healthcare services of older adults presenting with disabilities, using a pragmatic, multi-centred, prospective, two-armed, randomized controlled trial. 

Under the supervision of Profs Levasseur, Dubois and Vasiliadis, and the research team, the candidate will contribute, from a societal perspective, to the economic evaluation of implementing the APIC program for Quebec older adults with disabilities. This project will allow the cost-effectiveness ratio and the effects of the APIC program on the health and social participation of older adults, including utilization of healthcare services and homecare help, to be assessed.  Ultimately, this project will inform decision-makers about the added value of implementing this intervention in Quebec.

Specific requirements:
•	Apply for funding from the Research Centre on Aging, and from FRQS and CIHR (according to the start date).

Qualifications: 
•	Expertise in program evaluation including intervention implementation, qualitative  data collection and analysis.
