A Campus Dedicated to Health

Located northeast of the city of Sherbrooke, the UdeS Health Campus pools the joint dynamics of several major players in health in the Eastern Townships. Our Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé is the only one of its kind in Quebec to be located on the same site as its affiliated university hospital.
Thus, private and multinational companies with high R&D content cohabit with recognized research centres, such as the Sherbrooke Molecular Imaging Centre, the Centre de recherche Mère-Enfant de l’Université de Sherbrooke, theInstitut de pharmacologie de Sherbrooke (IPS), the Institut de recherche sur le cancer de l'Université de Sherbrooke, within the Pavilion of Applied Research on Cancer (PRAC). These groups pursue their respective activities while keeping in constant communication with the CHUS’ Centre de recherche clinique. Together, they form the Sherbrooke Science Park and Biomedical Park and a coherent ecosystem dedicated to health.
The objective of the Health Campus is to embody the continuum of research covering fundamental research fields (in laboratory) to clinical research (patient’s bedside) and even beyond, by participating in the valorization of innovations related to the health industry.
