Attack analysis; mounting and preparing attacks. Vulnerabilities and their exploitation; software vulnerabilities, exploitation and construction of malware. Introduction to penetration testing; OWASP + Guide to intrusion testing (pentest) OWASP: web intrusion testing workshop or project; server intrusion tests: exploit, pivot, “metasploit” and Armitage. Analysis of phishing attacks: network trace, workstation analysis, attacker detection. Intrusion testing (pentest) as a method of attack. Detection of cyberattacks by file extraction, by signatures, by anomalies, by log analysis, flow analysis.
