To examine the representation of space in Canadian and Québécois literatures, whether through theories of regionalism, urban fiction, eco-criticism, géo-poetique, cultural or human geography, or a combination of these approaches.
Highly interdisciplinary, the study of literature and space may include reading strategies that deploy any or all of the following concepts: domestic space, embodied space, non-space, nation space, space/time, globalization, eco-systems, urban space, time-space compression, visual space, and the social production of space.
