Jonathan Trottier

Jonathan Trottier is a master’s student in Educational Sciences at the Université de Sherbrooke. At this same university, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Primary and Preschool Education as well as his graduate diploma in teaching. After 21 years of practice in Sherbrooke schools, he has put his teaching career on hold to broaden the horizons of his practice. On his path, he crossed paths with Jean-Philippe Ayotte-Beaudet, professor and chairholder of the Research Chair in Outdoor Education, and a spark was lit to follow this promising direction. He is particularly interested in developing a broader community of practice focused on innovative outdoor teaching approaches. His research will build on the pedagogical practices already established in Quebec and Canada, but he eventually wishes to collaborate internationally in order to give a universal dimension to the outdoor education movement.
