Anne Lessard
Anne Lessard became dean of the Faculty of Education at the Université de Sherbrooke in June 2021. She has been a professor in the Department of Special Education since 2004. She has held the positions of Department Chair and Program Director for the Master's degree in Special Education. She has held the CSRS Research Chair on Student Engagement, Integration and Success since 2012. This chair aims to prevent school dropout through the use of promising pedagogical practices and community initiatives in support of school perseverance. Students with social and academic difficulties, school dropout and its prevention, the role that non-school actors can play in these initiatives and the important role played by teachers are at the heart of her research.
