Gabriele Lauterbach

Gabriele Lauterbach holds a pos-doc position at the National Centre for Learning Environment and responsible for the research project “Naturen som Læringsarena NArENA” (“Nature as a learning arena”). In her Ph.d., she applied Ecological Psychology to understand the specific affordances of outdoor places when she conducted a one-year ethnographic field study on how outdoor learning (uteskole) can contribute to foster inclusion, especially for children with immigrant backgrounds. Addiotionaly, she has mapped the prevalence and provision of uteskole in Norway. Her main interest lies in place-based and culturally responsive teaching approaches.
