Understand the origin and evolution of the management of sports in society and its deviance. Become familiar with the system of governance of national, regional, and international institutions involved in sports and the fight against doping. Understand the relationships between different institutions. Acquire an in-depth understanding of issues related to the sports industry.


Evolution, role, and management of sports in society. History of the main sports and anti-doping institutions: Olympic system, disciplinary federations, WADA, RADO and NADO, ITA. Regulations and statutes specific to the organizations. Legal typology of organizations. Decision-making process. Specificities and interactions of public, private, and mixed institutions. Status and chain of command of the organizations. Organizational structure. Case studies.
