Technological Platforms
The Université de Sherbrooke (UdeS) has set up research platforms to support and accelerate discoveries in various scientific fields. Much more than mere infrastructures, these platforms offer access to state-of-the-art equipment and the expertise of the technical teams operating them. This unique environment fosters collaboration, innovation and the emergence of major scientific breakthroughs.

Institut quantique's technology platforms, such as the AlgoLab and FabLab, are key places to support cutting-edge research in quantum science and technology. These spaces, equipped with advanced research tools and infrastructures, enable the IQ community to carry out innovative interdisciplinary projects, both theoretical and experimental.

The platforms foster collaboration between researchers, students and industrial partners, while providing an environment conducive to the training of new generations of scientists and the emergence of solutions to the complex challenges of the quantum field. These laboratories embody the spirit of IQ: a place where technology and technical know-how meet scientific creativity to push back the frontiers of the possible.
- The AlgoLab explores the potential of quantum computation in a number of research fields through collaborative research projects, notably in optimization, quantum machine learning and materials simulation. The AlgoLab management committee is composed of Prof Stefanos Kourtis, scientific director, as well as Prof Anne MacKay and Prof Cunlu Zhou.
- The Quantum FabLab (QFL) is a multi-user platform, where state-of-the-art equipment is dedicated to the advanced characterization of quantum materials and devices. The FabLab management committee is composed Prof Mathieu Juan, scientific director, as well as Prof Max Hofheinz and Prof Jeffrey Quilliam.
