The building

The Institut quantique pavilion is an emblematic site at the Université de Sherbrooke, designed to foster interdisciplinary interaction in the field of quantum science.

More than just a building, it is a vibrant space for collaboration, where researchers, students and experts meet to exchange ideas, innovate and push back the frontiers of knowledge. A veritable incubator of ideas, the pavilion houses state-of-the-art collaborative technology platforms, offering a unique setting for the development of innovative projects.

Designed to foster synergy between disciplines, it offers an environment conducive to the emergence of ideas that builds on the Institute's emblematic motto:

“Research happens in the labs, science happens in the corridors.”

The pavilion provides meeting and collaborative work spaces, enabling the community to come together, innovate and push back the boundaries of scientific knowledge. With its collaborative rooms and informal exchange zones, it embodies Institut Quantique's desire to create a setting where science is born of encounter and discussion.

Quantum FabLab plateform

The Quantum FabLab is an experimental research platform in quantum physics and engineering, taking full advantage of IQ's unique expertise in characterizing quantum materials and devices.

The FabLab functions as a quantum testbed, equipped with cutting-edge research tools capable of exploring the interactions between materials and quantum computing. The FabLab is complemented by a high-precision mechanical workshop, that enables the custom manufacture of specific parts. The FabLab's technical teams are an indispensable resource not only for managing and maintaining the equipment, but also for providing expertise and essential support to the student community.

AlgoLab plateform

The AlgoLab is a technology platform dedicated to quantum algorithms, offering an exceptional environment for the development and application of quantum algorithms. The platform has direct access to several quantum computers, enabling algorithms to be deployed on state-of-the-art systems.

Our team of programmers, with their unique expertise, works on a variety of projects in fields such as physics, finance and chemistry. They harness the power of quantum computers to solve complex problems, propelling research and innovation to new levels.
