Regular seminars

Guest seminars

Scientific seminars are held regularly, with the aim of informing our community about new developments in quantum science and technology. We welcome internationally renowned scientists to present their recent work.

These seminars are a valuable opportunity to stimulate the exchange of innovative ideas, strengthen collaborations between researchers and share ongoing research results in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.

Weekly seminars

In addition to one-off events, weekly seminars are organized to maintain a constant link between IQ members and recent advances in the field.

These regular sessions enable students, researchers and professionals to deepen their understanding of the quantum sciences, while encouraging discussion of complex concepts and current discoveries. They also provide a space for meeting and sharing, where everyone can ask questions, put forward ideas and collaborate with other experts.

Impact on the scientific community

The regular organization of these seminars actively contributes to the intellectual and professional enrichment of the IQ community. In addition to exposing participants to the work of internationally renowned scientists, these seminars offer them the opportunity to develop their professional network, identify potential collaborations and broaden their vision of the applications of quantum technologies. They play an essential role in the continuing education of students and the integration of new advances into their research work.

Horizon seminars

The Horizon IQ series is a unique initiative aimed at empowering the student community by offering them the opportunity to organize seminars themselves. Each edition allows students to choose a guest speaker, based on their academic and professional interests, to share ideas and diverse experiences.

By broadening the range of models and pathways available to them, these seminars enable students to take an active role in their own development and explore new perspectives, both scientific and professional.

The Horizon IQ series thus fosters the emergence of interdisciplinary discussions and contributes to enriching the diversity of experiences shared within the IQ community.

Annual symposium

Institut Quantique's annual symposium is a key moment for the community, providing a unique platform where members can meet, exchange and share their recent work. The event provides an opportunity to take stock of projects carried out over the past year, while highlighting current initiatives in the fields of quantum science and technology. In addition to presenting research results, the symposium encourages interdisciplinary discussions and fosters the emergence of future collaborations.

It is an ideal opportunity for the whole community to strengthen ties and enrich their understanding of recent advances in the quantum field.

Summer schools and workshops

Summer schools

Institut Quantique organizes one or two summer schools a year, focusing on various aspects of quantum science. These intensive programs offer in-depth training on key topics, enabling participants from the student and professional community to acquire specialized skills and keep abreast of the latest advances in the field.

The summer schools are designed to encourage interactive learning, with lectures, practical work and discussion sessions led by international experts. They are a valuable opportunity to reinforce technical knowledge, develop practical skills and network with other passionate researchers.

Workshops

In parallel, Institut Quantique offers various workshops throughout the year, focusing on specific topics. These workshops are designed to offer an in-depth exploration of particular themes, ranging from advanced experimental techniques to cutting-edge theoretical aspects. They often include practical demonstrations, small-group discussions and interactive sessions that enable participants to deepen their understanding and solve real-life problems.

By offering a more focused, hands-on setting, workshops complement academic training and enable participants to keep abreast of recent developments in their field of expertise.

Scientific animation committee

IQ's scientific animation committee plays a central role in the management and organization of the seminars and annual colloquium. Made up of students, professors and IQ staff, this committee is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing these crucial events.

It ensures that the seminars are relevant, stimulating and reflect the latest advances in quantum science and technology.

In addition, he oversees the organization of the annual colloquium, a flagship event that brings the community together to share research results, foster interdisciplinary exchange and promote an inclusive and dynamic environment.

Thanks to this diverse collaboration, the committee ensures high-quality programming that meets the academic and professional needs of all IQ members.
