The MEC is a course-based masters program (professional masters program)
Having completed the Graduate Diploma in College Teaching (GDCT), participants who wish to earn a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) can pursue their professional development by conducting an innovative pedagogical or research project or an in-depth analysis of a topic or their practice.
Regardless of their choice, they will apply a logical and rigorous approach that will include : project contextualisation, problem definition, literature review, identification of objectives, choice and description of methodology, project execution, project validation, analysis and interpretation of findings and statement of project conclusions, limitations and impact. Depending on the nature of the project, they may emphasise certain steps over others.
In the course of this work, students will develop an ability
- To design and conduct research, innovation or critical analysis projects related to their college teaching practice.
