Final feedback

Evaluative feedback on the internship

Before the end of the internship, you will need to complete the final feedback with your intern.

Formulate constructive feedback

At the end of the internship, the 'final feedback' form will be sent to you by your intern. He/she will have already filled out his/her section. You will see there her perception of herself. Once your section is completed, we ask you to discuss it together, sign the document and submit it for the final submission.

Conducted jointly, this exercise is important. You offer the intern an external and professional perspective on their interpersonal skills, as well as other aspects of their contribution in employment.

By comparing your point of view with his/her own, the intern will be able to validate, specify and adjust their perception of their professional development. Your comments will help him plan the next steps in his internship journey, as well as formulate his future development goals.

It is also a great opportunity to offer your availability to your intern as a reference for their next internship or job search efforts. You could also write a letter of recommendation for him/her.

This final meeting also allows you to ask your intern for feedback about your company. Ask what areas need improvement in order to welcome a future intern.

Plan for sucession

You really enjoy working with your intern? In the current context of labor scarcity, do not hesitate to offer a potential return to your organization for its next internship. If he or she graduates soon, offer him/her a job! Plan your needs so as not to miss your chance to recruit a qualified workforce that is already trained according to the standards of your company.
