Master Teacher Program
25 years of dedication to the advancement of college teachers
In 1998, two Performa RLs, one from Dawson College and the other from John Abbott, knocked on the door of a Champlain St-Lambert teacher's house in (yes, at her place!) with a special request. They wanted to design a curriculum for a Master’s program for new teachers in the college network.
The teacher agreed! Thus, a team of experts in collegiate pedagogy gathered several times around her kitchen table to create the exit profile and core courses of what would become the Master Teacher Program (MTP) of Performa.
Triple celebration
This year marks the MTP’s 25th anniversary, coinciding with Performa’s 50th anniversary!
Over a hundred guests gathered at Champlain College St-Lambert to celebrate the achievement of the graduates of the MTP from the last 5 years. Attendees also commemorated the MTP’s 25 years of dedication to the advancement of college teachers’ pedagogical expertise, as well as Performa's 50 years of commitment to the same mission.
Congratulations to the graduates of the MTP
The MTP and Performa warmly congratulate the graduates of the Graduate Certificate in College Teaching, the Graduate Diploma in College Teaching, and/or the Master in College Teaching.
Your perseverance and dedication to education and educational success are applauded by the entire MTP and Performa community.
