« Mediating American Modernist Literature: the Case of/ for Big Magazines, 1880-1960 »

Un colloque commandité par SHARP aura lieu demain, le jeudi 4 octobre, jusqu'au vendredi 5 octobre à l'Université Aix-Marseille, en Provence. Intitulé « Mediating American Modernist Literature: the Case of/ for Big Magazines, 1880-1960 », ce colloque accueillera, entre autres, les professeurs Mark Morrisson (Université d'État de Pennsylvanie) et Faye Hammill (Université de Glasgow), qui présenteront chacun une conférence sur leurs domaines de recherche respectifs.

About the “Mediating American Modernist Literature: the Case of/ for Big Magazines, 1880-1960” conference:

The conference will feature a first keynote delivered by Pr. Mark Morrisson (Pennsylvania State University), "American Modernism and the Rise of Periodical Studies: Why Turn to the Big Magazines?", and a second keynote on Friday, by Pr. Faye Hammill (University of Glasgow), on "Seriality, simultaneity, modernity". A final roundtable will explore new perspectives in the fields of periodical studies, modernism and print culture, with presentations by Benoît Tadié (Université de Rennes 2), Céline Mansanti (Université de Picardie), Evanghelia Stead (UVSQ, Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France), Mark Morrisson, Faye Hammill and David Carter (University of Queensland, Brisbane).
