Mon programme de recherche porte sur l’étude de la végétation, des habitats fauniques et de la fragmentation du paysage dans une perspective de conservation. Je développe des méthodes pour détecter la faune, évaluer les caractéristiques des habitats et obtenir des indicateurs environnementaux qui permettent de caractériser l’impact des pratiques de gestion, des infrastructures et des activités humaines sur l’état des écosystèmes. Mes outils de prédilection incluent l’imagerie visible et infrarouge acquise par satellite et drone, ainsi que les systèmes d’information géographique. Je m’intéresse également à l’intégration de la technologie géomatique en pédagogie de l’enseignement supérieur.
