Orit Ben Zvi Assaraf
Orit chairs the graduate program for science and technology education at Ben Gurion University of the Negev and is an active board member of the European Researchers in Didactics of Biology.
Her research work on science education focuses on three areas: (1) cognitive research on complexity in biology, ecology and earth sciences - aiming to explore and advance the development of students' systems thinking; (2) exploring learning in zoos and science museums, and designing informal outdoor learning environments; (3) developing environmental literacy and nature conservation in science education, while exploring the cultural dimension of environmental education.
