Microprogram in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education - English stream (MTLHE – 9 credits)
MTLHE (9 credits - English Stream) is a part-time microprogram that offers activities rooted in practice related to the various aspects of pedagogy. It aims to develop your knowledge of learning and teaching and to make you aware of the professional culture of pedagogy through the development of three competencies.
All activities are offered online (synchronous and asynchronous), on weekday evenings, by a dynamic and experienced team.
Your academic journey into the microprogram begins with a required course, EPU920 - Teaching in Higher Education. For the remaining part of the program, you will complete two more optional pedagogical activities. Throughout the microprogram, you will personalize your own learning through the projects you carry out that apply directly to your professional context.
Perfect your teaching skills with our training focused on :
- competency development;
- a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) approach;
- Co-development pedagogy (CoDev);
- experimentation with active-learning instructional methods;
- and the design of projects that meet your professional needs and your teaching context.
Important
Our microprograms are intended for teachers with five years of experience or less and with no specific training in higher education pedagogy as well as for teachers with more than five years of experience who wish to revisit and question their practices.
