The SoTL approach

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is an approach to developing expertise in higher education that aims to develop knowledge about teaching and learning in higher education. The SoTL approach that we propose in the MTLHE is rooted directly in the reality of each teacher who seeks to advance or modify his or her practice with the goal of improving student learning.
