At the heart of a creative and innovative environment, IRC Innovations for a Sustainable Planet stimulates new collaborative projects combining fundamental and applied research, promoting the emergence of new technologies and social innovations, their transfer to society, and the training of a new generation of specialists. 

Research Areas

The theme Innovations for a Sustainable Planet is explored through four interdisciplinary areas: 

• Responsible innovation, transitions, and biodiversity
• Micro-nanotechnologies
• Sustainable chemistry and material circularity - Responsible low-carbon materials for sustainable construction
• Quantum sciences and technologies

Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The IRC Innovations for a Sustainable Planet supports—and thrives on—collaboration between CNRS Innovation and the Sherbrooke entrepreneurial ecosystem in connection with the whole of Quebec.
