The Université de Sherbrooke's solar park takes place on the Solar Energy and Outdoor Demonstration platform (3IT.Hélios). It is is the largest solar park dedicated to applied research in Canada.
With a capacity of 1 MW, the solar park is complemented by two smart thermal power plants.
Being a real technological demonstration site, the solar park reproduces the reality of isolated and connected microgrids. It can be used to test different configurations, such as energy storage, sending to the grid and battery mode.
