Through its education, research and community service mission, the Université de Sherbrooke is a key partner in the Sherbrooke Innovation Zone, which aims to foster the development of quantum science and technology.

Sherbrooke's innovation zone includes three distinct and complementary sectors to stimulate innovation, synergy and economic growth. It extends from the Université de Sherbrooke, with its Parc Innovation-ACELP / Université de Sherbrooke, to downtown Sherbrooke, where the entrepreneurial and innovation district is currently being developed, including the Cégep de Sherbrooke sector.

It also includes the requalification of a former industrial zone on the shore of Lac-des-Nations, which will become a destination for innovative manufacturing companies.
