Description du projet
Stress urinary incontinence is a highly prevalent condition in women that can have a great impact on their quality of life. Many pharmacological and surgical treatment options have been tried, but they are either invasive or not effective enough. The first line of treatment is conservative treatment, of which the most useful is pelvic floor muscle therapy (PFMT). Even though it is very effective if done appropriately, this treatment is time and resource consuming for both the patients and the healthcare system. The aim of this study is to potentialize the effect of PFMT using prasterone cream, which will hopefully decrease the necessary amount of PFMT performed to obtain the same benefits. Our study will include 40 premenopausal female patients that suffer from mild to moderate incontinence with a low serum testosterone levels. The main outcome measures will be age-related serum levels of total, free, and bioavailable testosterone, symptom assessment methods (pad test, voiding diary, patient reports) and imagery (3/4D US, dynamometer and elastography). - recrutement des patientes pour le projet de recherche - monter les questionnaires redcap - effectuer l'analyse des données collectées - écriture de l'article scientifique MP837
