A series of portraits will highlight the richness of the IRCUS scientific community, whose members bring the Institute to life every day. Through a series of questions, we will introduce you to the faces of research who, together, transform hope into concrete advances for people affected by cancer.
February 4 | World Cancer Day

On February 4, 2026, for World Cancer Day, IRCUS will mark its five years of existence by unveiling five impactful discoveries from its laboratories and major international collaborations. IRCUS will thus reaffirm its unwavering commitment to the fight against cancer, which remains year after year the leading cause of death in Canada.
April 6 | Anniversary of the IRCUS Creation Announcement

On April 6, 2026, to mark the IRCUS creation announcement by the Université de Sherbrooke, the Institute will present an overview of its first five years dedicated to the fight against cancer. It will also be a special opportunity to unveil the Institute’s new 2026–2029 Strategic Plan.
May 3 | IRCUS Open Doors for Children Affected by Cancer

On May 3, 2026, IRCUS will open its doors to children affected by cancer by transforming its traditional event for adults in collaboration with Leucan and Let's Talk Science. Accompanied by their families, children will have the opportunity to discover, in a fun and interactive way, the fascinating world of cancer research.
May 29 | Celebrating the 5 Years of IRCUS and Its Community

On May 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., IRCUS will invite its community to a festive BBQ lunch at the Institute. This friendly event will highlight the commitment of its students, employees, researchers, and patient partners, and will offer an opportunity to celebrate five years of achievements together. A moment of sharing and recognition that will mark an important milestone in the history of IRCUS.
September 24 | World Cancer Research Day

On November 4, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., IRCUS will invite the public to the first edition of its Benefit Cocktail. This immersive evening will take you to the heart of cancer research. You will discover our scientific advances, meet our passionate researchers, and explore the behind-the-scenes world of the Institute. Supporting IRCUS means helping save lives.
