It is essential to the IRCUS management that the research and teaching activities carried out by its professor-researchers in the field of cancer research are done in close collaboration with communities of practice.

Thanks to the Université de Sherbrooke, the IRCUS community has access to a broad network of health centres and hospitals across Quebec, and even in New Brunswick, to develop best practices and cancer research projects. IRCUS is the only university institute in Quebec to be located on the same site as its faculty of medicine and affiliated university hospital. This feature gives IRCUS professor-researchers, students and professionals undeniable advantages.
