Early detection, diagnosis and prognosis

Research that focuses on identifying and testing cancer markers and methods, such as imaging, that are useful for detecting or diagnosing cancer, predicting its outcome or risk of recurrence, or supporting decision-making in precision medicine.

Treatment

Research that focuses on identifying and testing treatments administered locally (such as radiotherapy and surgery) and systemically (such as chemotherapy, which is administered throughout the body). Research into the prevention of recurrence and treatment of metastases are also included here.
