Activités de collaboration internationale

  • Theme leader in the Laboratoire commun STMicroelectronics - UMI LN2. France. Laboratoire des Nanotechnologies et NanosytèmesSTMicroelectronics is a world-leading company in microelectronics. In 2012, ST founded a joint laboratory with the (LN2), an International Joint Unit of the at the (UMI-LN2). This fruitful partnership has made it possible, among other things, to train about 10 doctoral students with several France-Québec . For its renewal, the joint laboratory extends its activities to quantum technology. This new axis is the result of a fruitful collaboration between me and Ph. Galy of ST. This axis unifies expertise to manufacture qubits using ST's proprietary technology. A first achievement is the successful operation of this technology near absolute zero temperature (CCV, Journal Articles, 1). This association with ST has attracted in my group Dr. Ryan Foote, postdoctoral fellow and Mrs. Ioanna Kriekouki, a new PhD student in .
  • Member of Unité Mixte Internationale - Laboratoire des Nanotechnologies & Nanosystèmes (UMI-LN2). France. UMI-LN2 is a bilateral research unit between France and Canada. The main objective of the laboratory is to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation through exchanges of students and researchers in the framework of bilateral research projects. The unit's supervisory bodies are CNRS-INSIS, GIS RENATECH, Université de Sherbrooke and the French universities and grandes écoles (INSA Lyon, Ecole Centrale de Lyon, CPE Lyon and UJF Grenoble).
  • Co-Investigator. France. Laboratoire des Nanotechnologies & NanosystèmesI am a member of Unité Mixte Internationale - of in France.
  • Member of Laboratoire International Associé – Laboratoire sur les Circuits et Matériaux Quantiques. France. Université de SherbrookeBuilding on the collaboration between French researchers and researchers from the Physics Department at the over the past several decades, the was created in 2016 to strengthen research collaborations within the France-Canada axis. Within this laboratory, I have established a collaboration with the Quantronics group at CEA Saclay. Together, we share a PhD student in cotutelle.
  • Principal investigator. Japan. I was the principal applicant of a $270,000 grant application from Programme de soutien à la recherche (PSR), volet Soutien à des initiatives internationales de recherche et d'innovation (SIIRI), of Ministère Développement Économique, Innovation et Exportation (MDEIE) of Québec to perform collaborative research on hybrid quantum circuits. The project involved three researchers of Tokyo University including pioneer of superconducting qubits Yasunobu Nakamura and two researchers at the Institute of Quantum Computing in Waterloo, Ontario. The project was recommended for funding by the evaluation committee in February 2013 but was not funded because of budgetary cut by the Québec government.
