Activités de collaboration internationale
- Co-directrice / Co-director. France. I am the co-director of an international research program entitled "Connexions transatlantiques" which aims at comparing material culture used by French people in the metropolis and in the colonies of the Americas. I am responsible of the archaeological science axis that investigates the structure of archaeological materials in order to determine their provenance and their manufacturing techniques. I lead five researchers worldwide. This program is funded by the Université de Caen (Fr), Landarc (Fr), and Université Laval (Ca).
- Archéométre et spécialiste / Archaeological scientist and Material culture specialist. France. As part of an international research program on the archaeology of the piracy, I am responsible of the analyses of glass beads and more generally glass objects found during underwater and terrestrial excavations, and of the chemical analysis to be conducted on them for their conservation and study.
- Experte en caractérisation et datation de peintures /Painting characterization and dating specialist. South Africa, Republic of. Blombos Cave is one of the oldest sites with human expression of art. I was invited to join the team by Prof Christopher Henshilwood, head of the SapienCE project. My duties are to characterize traces of paintings on the wall of the site and to date them with radiocarbon.
- Experte caractérisation et datation / Archaeological material characterization and dating specialist. United States of America. This NSF project on the evaluation of the potential and limits of plasma oxidation for radiocarbon dating, has been design by Ruth Ann Armitage and I. We work together on all the aspects of the project : archaeological material characterization, chemical pretreatment, design and improvement of the instrument, radiocarbon dating.
