Research Axes

CRASH-UdeS research is part of the Université de Sherbrooke unifying research topics, by studying innovative materials/processes. In the case of CRASH-UdeS, and as its name indicates, this research is centered around three major themes: acoustics, signals and humans.

A strong interdisciplinarity around these major themes allows the emergence of several research axes:

  • Aeroacoustics
  • Acoustic materials: study and design
  • Auditory system study
  • Musical acoustics
  • Noise control
  • Structural health monitoring
  • Sound arts
  • Sound quality
  • Spatial sound synthesis
  • Speech transmission/processing
  • Ultrasonic medical imaging
  • Ultrasound study
  • Vibration control
