Director's Note

Welcome to the website of the Centre for Research in Acoustics-Signal-Human of the Université de Sherbrooke (CRASH-UdeS).

Created in 2020, it is recognized as one of the 23 centers of excellence of the Université de Sherbrooke. This "center" designation is provided exclusively by the Université de Sherbrooke to research groups that satisfy the evaluation criteria of excellence.

CRASH-UdeS is an interdisciplinary research centre that offers a diverse, inclusive and equitable research environment to its members. As a "center", it is a privileged space where graduate students and postdoctoral fellows can conduct their research projects.

CRASH-UdeS, which is founded on a strong acoustics background, brings together a wide range of expertise from the Faculty of Engineering (mechanical, electrical, computer science), the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School of Music. This diversity of disciplines in the same center, facilitates the creation of interdisciplinary projects that must bring together several areas of expertise. The desire to go beyond the conventional barriers of disciplines is thus fundamentally anchored in the structure of CRASH-UdeS.

By providing access to cutting-edge infrastructures and diversified expertise, this center creates a framework that gives everyone the opportunity to carry out innovative projects that meet the needs of society.

In order to disseminate the work of its students, the CRASH-UdeS has a YouTube channel and a LinkedIn site. I encourage you to subscribe to them.
