Biography

RESEARCH SUBJECTS

Quantum microwave devices based on Josephson photonics, i.e. the interaction between microwave photons and inelastic Cooper pair tunneling through a Josephson junction.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Josephson photonics allows us to implement microwave quantum devices powered by a simple DC voltage, i.e. they require minimal hardware overhead. I am interested in the potential of Josephson photonics for different tasks such as the generation of microwave quantum states, quantum limited amplification and detection of single microwave photons.

KEYWORDS

Josephson photonics, superconducting quantum circuits, quantum electronics, inelastic Cooper pair tunneling (aka dynamical Coulomb blockade), quantum limited amplifier, single photon detector.
