Magnetism in quantum materials
My main research topic is the study of magnetic systems which have exotic behavior induced by geometric frustration – a competition between the magnetic interactions. Especially, I look for states of matter called spin liquid in which any magnetic order is “melted” by quantum fluctuations. I use several search techniques including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), muon spin rotation (µSR), thermodynamic measurements (like specific heat and magnetic susceptibility) and ultrasonic velocity.
Low temperatures, frustrated magnetism, quantum spin liquids, quantum materials, thermodynamic measurements, NMR, µSR, sound velocity.
