Science des matériaux. Étude de la cinétique de dégradation des matériaux polymères. Durabilité des composites polymères. Modélisation des phénomènes de dégradation.  Élaboration de revêtements et matériaux durables. Synthèse de nanomatériaux à base de silicates. Matériaux composites naturels. Caractérisations mécanique, physicochimique et microstructurale de matériaux composites, polymères et nanorenforcés.

Activités de recherche

  • Synthèse, caractérisation et étude de la durabilité de revêtements nanocomposites polymères thermodurcissables à base de mica et d’argile modifiées pour des applications.
  • Élaboration de revêtements de fibres post-ensimage à base de nanosilice pour améliorer les propriétés d’interface dans les composites résines thermodurs/fibres de basalte.
  • Caractérisation et étude des phénomènes de dégradation dans les composites à base de résine thermodurcissables de source biologique.
  • Développement de nouveaux composites polymères renforcés de fibres naturelles.
  • Fonctionnalisation de surface de fibres de renfort naturelles en vue de leur ajout dans des résines polymères.
