The Charles-Le Moyne Research Centre (CRCLM) is the first research centre outside Montréal, Québec City, and Sherbrooke to receive the Centre of Excellence designation from the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) – Health Sector. This official recognition reflects the expertise of the University of Sherbrooke researchers who have contributed to its development for nearly 30 years.

The CRCLM works with researchers and graduate students to develop innovative solutions in areas such as access to healthcare, mental health, addictions, cancer research, and primary care services.

The Research Centre on Aging at the University of Sherbrooke is one of Canada’s largest research centres dedicated to aging and is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations. A true hub of innovation, it brings together approximately fifty researchers and interdisciplinary teams working to understand, prevent, and delay the effects of aging while promoting the autonomy and quality of life of older adults.

Through its strong partnerships with clinical and community organizations, the Research Centre on Aging (CdRV) transforms its discoveries into practical solutions that help build a proactive and inclusive society capable of meeting the challenges of an aging population.

With its unique technology platforms, industry partnerships, and interdisciplinary projects, the Institute of Pharmacology of Sherbrooke (IPS) offers a stimulating graduate study environment where innovation and collaboration accelerate the development of life-changing therapeutic solutions.

As the only research institute in pharmacology in Canada, the IPS brings together leading expertise in medicinal chemistry, biology, imaging, and engineering to address major challenges such as cancer, pain, infectious diseases, and cardiovascular diseases.

The University of Sherbrooke Cancer Research Institute (IRCUS) brings together more than 100 researchers from six faculties who work collaboratively to fight cancer from every angle. It is a place where science meets human impact, driven by a clear mission: to reduce the burden of cancer and improve patients’ lives.

Every day, through world-class research infrastructure and strategic partnerships, IRCUS develops innovative approaches to better understand, detect, and treat this complex disease.

The Interdisciplinary Institute for Technological Innovation (3IT) is a unique Canadian hub dedicated to technological innovation and applied research. Located on the University of Sherbrooke’s main campus, it brings together experts in engineering, science, and health sciences to develop cutting-edge solutions in fields such as micro- and nanotechnology, photonics, artificial intelligence, and embedded systems.

With its state-of-the-art laboratories and strategic industry partnerships, the 3IT serves as a true innovation accelerator where students, researchers, and industry partners collaborate to transform ideas into tangible technologies that help shape the future.
