The Sherbrooke Connectivity Imaging Laboratory, the Medical Imaging and Neuroinformatic Lab and the Quantum AlgoLab at the University of Sherbrooke are collaborating in the exploration of quantum algorithms for the complete or partial solving of the tractography problem expressed in graph form. Tractography, for estimating the neural network in the brain, can be costly in terms of computational resources.
The laboratories wish to develop a modular algorithm enabling complete tractography of the human brain based on magnetic resonance imaging data.
