Simulating Quantum Matter with Tensor Networks
Résumé:
In the last decade, tensor networks have emerged as a natural language for describing many-body systems with strong correlations. In this talk, I will show how this new language allows for the efficient simulation of ground-state properties of one- and two-dimensional quantum spin systems. I will also explain that quasiparticles arise naturally out of this formalism, providing a window into the low-energy dynamics of these systems. I conclude with an outlook on the future challenges in capturing exotic quantum phenomena with tensor networks.
