Intérêts de recherche

My team is at the forefront in elucidating mechanisms that underlie the internal coordination and homeostasis of receptor trafficking and signaling. This area of research has received very little attention to date. We are in the process of deciphering some of the molecular mechanisms by which Gα signaling molecules regulate specific receptor sorting steps and organelle signalling. Our results strongly suggest that alteration of these mechanisms is involved in various human diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. In the long term, we expect to provide new insights into the mechanisms regulating intracellular membrane trafficking/signaling in health and the underlying causes of disease and ageing, with the ultimate goal of identifying new therapeutic approaches.
