Intérêts de recherche

Les grandes expériences scientifiques nécessitent des instruments de plus en plus sophistiqués, à la fine pointe de la technologie, combinant la physique, la microélectronique et des techniques de programmation avancées. Pour concevoir ces instruments capables de « voir » des molécules individuelles, détecter de la matière noire, ou d'imager un patient au micromètre près, il nous faut une équipe multidisciplinaire dynamique, motivée et créative.Notre groupe développe une chaîne d'acquisition pour les instruments générant un taux gigantesque de données, de l'ordre de 100 GB/s à 100 TB/s. Cette chaîne d'acquisition de donnée intègre l'intelligence artificielle sur système embarqué afin de traiter et réduire les données en temps réel.

Activités de collaboration internationale

  • Co-Researcher / Co-chercheure. Canada. Global Argon Dark Matter Collaboration (GADMC) Collaboration international avec plus de 400 chercheurs de 14 pays pour concevoir et opérer une série d'expériences sur la matière noire. L'équipe canadienne offre des contributions importantes à cette collaboration et sont reconnu comme des leaders internationale en physique des particules. L'équipe de l'Université de Sherbrooke conçoit les détecteurs de photons et mon équipe développe le système d'acquisition intelligent temps réel pour ces photodétecteurs.
  • Co-researcher / Co-chercheure. États-Unis d'Amérique. Los Alamos National Laboratory. Dr. Zhehui Wang Dr Wang m'a contacté pour développer un circuit de lecture et le logiciel pour son projet de caméra à un milliard de pixels. Le travail est en cours et a été planifié sur les cinq prochaines années.
  • Co-Researcher / Co-chercheure. États-Unis d'Amérique. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Ryan Coffee et al. Suite d'une collaboration initié pendant un stage postdoctoral à SLAC. Développement d'un détecteur rayon X. Dr Coffee et son équipe conçoivent et contruisent le détecteur lui-même et je développe le circuit et logiciel d'acquisition pour celui-ci.
  • Stagiaire doctorale. Suisse. Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire (CERN) Dr Paul Lecoq et al. Invitée par le Dr Lecoq pour un stage de 4 mois au CERN. Pendant ce stage et l'année qui a suivi, j'ai développé une nouvelles méthode de discrimination en energy pour la tomographie d'émission par positron. J'ai collaboré avec l'équipe de Dr Lecoq pour modifier les logiciels de simulation et développer cette méthode, qui a mené à une publication et le premier prix de la compétition étudiante (affiche) au 2016 IEEE NSS-MIC.
