Intérêts de recherche

We investigate the molecular mechanisms by which plant recognize pathogens via a family of receptor-like proteins known as NB-LRR proteins. This includes research on how these proteins recognize viral pathogens and the signaling pathways they induce, including those related to RNA silencing and translational control.

We and the Kobayashi/Sekine group have a common interest in I2-like NB-LRR proteins and using different members of the protein family, identified the same interacting protein (THF1). We have combined our results and shared reagents extensively to examine the role of THF1 in disease resistance.
