Internship – Theoretical quantum information science

Project title : Internship in theoretical quantum information

Abstract :

What are quantum computers useful for? How can we control quantum systems despite unavoidable sources of errors. The group of David Poulin specializes in the software aspect of a quantum computer, including the design of new quantum algorithms to solve problems more efficiently on quantum computers, and fault tolerant quantum computation to eradicate hardware malfunctions from the computation. This is a multidisciplinary research program combining tools from quantum information science and quantum many-body physics. Several research projects are available and to be discussed after application.
