Group of Research on Technologies and Processes of Conversion and Pharmaceutical
Welcome to the GRTPC-P website.
Our research group works on the development and investigation of thermochemical and catalytic conversion technologies and processes. Although the main focus is on renewable resources use for the production of techno-economically sustainable energy and materials, the so-derived process engineering knowledge is generally applicable to all fields.
Having recognized the multidisciplinary nature of this endeavour, we propose a work methodology which combines both the academic and industrial research paradigms in this area. Thus, fundamental research, as heterogeneous catalysts development via the understanding of surface and triple-phase-boundary phenomena, and applied research, as the development of industrially scalable sustainable conversion processes, are conducted in parallel. This leads to high quality deliverables while preserving both the academic character and the solution-driven mandate of our engineering profession.
The successes of our group prove the efficacy of our work methodology. The latter provides our highly qualified personel with an environment allowing them to enrich their academic profile without sacrificing their professional development as future industrial engineers.
