NECOTIS

The neurocomputational and Intelligent Signal Processing (NECOTIS) research group conducts multidisciplinary research in the area of intelligent systems and man-machine communication. Exploratory, basic research and applications are developed around bio-inspired neural network systems for information and signal processing. Also, new signal processing and recognition techniques are developed based on biological knowledge.

This bridge between signal processing and computational neuroscience open doors to new developments, concepts and emergent applications in the field of intelligent information processing. The projects developed inside the NECOTIS research group are strongly grounded with speech, audio, auditory and image processing applications around conventional signal processing techniques and models with networks of spiking (pulse) neurons.
