A Bounded Message Protocol for the IoT

The objective of this project is to build a new communication protocol for the Internet of Things. The purpose of the protocol is to allow local communication of information of general interest. It is therefore an ad hoc protocol without addressing. All communications take place in broadcast mode. The transmitted messages are georeferenced from their point of emission. It is therefore taken for granted that any element wishing to send a message knows its position. Messages are also limited in time and space. For example, a message will be valid for 5 seconds within 10 meters of the transmitter. When you receive a message, you have to evaluate if you are in physical reach. Then, periodically, you have to examine your message bank and erase the old ones. The protocol is applied to the study of a smart road intersection.
