Nos études portent sur les sujets suivant

  • Les phénomènes ultrarapides en radiobiologie
  • Le rôle des électrons secondaires au niveau du dommage radiobiologique et de la radiothérapie avec ou sans chimiothérapie
  • L'interaction des électrons lents et secondaires avec l'ADN, les protéines, les radiosensibilisateurs et les agents chimiothérapeutiques
  • Analyse des produits formés par les électrons secondaires et les électrons de faible énergie dans les systèmes d'intérêt biologique
  • Mesure de sections efficaces d'interaction des électrons de faible énergie avec des molécules cellulaires pour la radiothérapie
  • Applications de la physique des radiations au traitement du cancer par la radiothérapie et la thérapie combinée (radiation + chimiothérapie)
Afin d'étudier ces phénomènes et leurs rôles dans les dommages induits par le rayonnement aux cellules, nous avons utilisé et adapté des techniques expérimentales provenant des domaines de la science des surfaces et des collisions atomiques en phase gazeuse.
