Study Programs Outside Quebec

Since 1992, various Université de Sherbrooke programs have been offered in South America, Europe and Morocco. In fact, the very first study program offered outside of Quebec by the Université de Sherbrooke was the Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Morocco in 1992.

Since 2002, the Faculty of Administration has offered its MBA for working executives in collaboration with the École supérieure de commerce et de management Tours-Poitiers (ESCEM). The same program is also offered in Casablanca, Morocco, to the Écoles supérieures internationales de gestion (ESIG).

At the UdeS Research and Teaching Institute for Cooperatives (Institut de recherche et d'éducation pour les coopératives et les mutuelles de l'Université de Sherbrooke - IRECUS), a team of professors from the Faculty of Administration has been teaching cooperative management for several years in Central and South America. The IRECUS is also training teachers who, in turn, will teach the managers of cooperatives.

For her part, the Faculty of Education has developed the pedagogical expertise and a network of international partners that enable the faculty to offer study programs to a variety of clients. For example, in 2004, a group of professors from the Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana in Brazil obtained their doctorate from the Université de Sherbrooke.

Other international collaborative initiatives are underway in all faculties of the Université de Sherbrooke thus demonstrating the institution’s determination to be active in academic training and education and its commitment to the development of continuing education programs at the international level.
