Innovation Park at the Université de Sherbrooke

With two major research centre projects in development over the past two years in partnership with the private sector, the Université de Sherbrooke has been preparing and planning for the establishment of businesses on or close to the campus.

The launching of the two projects, the Centre de technologies avancées BRP - Université de Sherbrooke (Advanced Technology Centre – CTA) and the Centre d'excellence en génie de l'information (Centre of Excellence in Information Engineering – CEGI) has reaffirmed the need to develop the Innovation Park at the Université de Sherbrooke. A 500,000-m2 area, divisible into 25 building lots and located west of the main campus, has been designated for this purpose. This was the context in 2007 when the Board of Directors of the Université de Sherbrooke reiterated its support for the project and agreed to have the first two buildings located on this site.

Mission of the Innovation Park

The mission of the Innovation Park is to provide space for privately- or publicly-funded research centres working on or seeking to work on joint research projects with professors from the Université de Sherbrooke while having a part to play in student education.
