  • Influence de la nutrition et de l’activité physique sur la modulation de la sensibilité à l’insuline (clamp de glucose) et le métabolisme des protéines (isotopes stables);
  • Relation entre la sarcopénie, la sensibilité à l’insuline et le métabolisme des protéines;
  • Mécanismes physiologiques qui sous-tendent le développement du syndrome de la fragilité.

Hydratation et performance physique

  • Influence de la déshydratation et de l’hyperhydratation sur la performance en endurance;
  • Relation entre la déshydratation et l’effet de l’âge et du sexe sur la performance en endurance;
  • Effet placebo de la déshydratation sur la performance en endurance.

Aides ergogéniques et performance physique

  • Évaluation de produits ergogènes visant à améliorer la performance en endurance.

Étude méta-analytique

  • Utilisation de la technique de méta-analyse afin de résumer, intégrer, interpréter et déterminer les effets de traitements provenant d’interventions visant à améliorer la performance humaine en force et en endurance.

Recherches en cours

    • Effet d’une stratégie d’hyperhydratation pré-exercice chez des athlètes de haut niveau lors d’un contre-la-montre en course à pied effectué sur un parcours vallonné et à une température de 28°C.
    • Rôles joués par la résistance à l’insuline et l’effet thermique des aliments sur le développement du syndrome de la fragilité chez la personne âgée;
    • Effet de l’obésité sur le métabolisme des protéines chez la femme âgée;
    • Effet de l’ingestion d’un repas sur la cinétique des protéines et du glucose et sur les protéines de signalisation contrôlant la protéolyse et la synthèse des protéines;
    • Effet d’une supplémentation en créatine sur la capacité de saut chez des joueurs de volleyball très entraînés;
    • Méta-analyse des effets de la déshydratation induite par l’exercice sur la performance en endurance;
    • Méta-analyse des effets de l’hypohydratation sur la force et la puissance musculaire.
